Default Can my husband be responsible?

Hi, a friend has asked us to look after her three children whilst her husband is having an op. I will already have 2 / 3 mindees on the premises. If I'm not responsible for them can I do it without affecting my ratios? Obviously won't be getting paid, but as we all know they will all want to play together so can't separate them.

If they are on the premises then they are classed as in your numbers - same as if you were holding a party during working hours.

The only way your husband can help is to go to their house.

I would phone ofsted and check.

If your husband is totally responsible for them then they shouldn't come into your numbers. As long as he is there at all times and has an arrangement with their parents then they shouldn't affect your ratios.
It's no different to if a friend brought children to your house. As long as the friend remained responsible for them they wouldn't be counted in your numbers, no matter who the children actually belonged to.
