Overheard this....

I was on holiday in Cornwall last week, had a lovely time

While in Falmouth I was having lunch at a lovely harbour pub overlooking all the boats.... just setting the scene lol

This chap was sat at the next table having met some friends he hadn't seen for ages, he said, "Oh yes Lotti starts big school in September, we've been for a couple of those meetings you know for thick parents that don't seem to have any common sense hehehe".
" Well I think the school have a darn cheek, do you know that they had the bare faced cheek to ask us to wait behind as they just wanted a quick word..... well they told us that we had to get Lotti to them ... wait for it.... ON TIME, don't they realise we are busy people"

I found it a bit of a shock when my boy started school - suddenly I had to adhere to someone else's timetable instead of doing exactly what I wanted, when I wanted!

Lets just be glad we aren't childminding for them

The school must have been pre warned to call them back about it

I wonder if the child attends a childminder and she had a word in the teachers ear about their timekeeping and that's why they were called back.
