I did tell parents I was available, but none of them wanted to bring the children

Nope, I never work Bank Holidays - none of my parents do either so probably wouldn't be needed anyway.

    Have fun today!

First time in 4 and a half years cm that i have told parents i'm taking the bank holiday off ( and on full pay!).

I've always just worked it on normal rates ( although my contracts say i'm entited to be off and paid or double time if working I've never been brave enough to implement it!) but I'm confident enough in my business now to say i'm not working.

Have booked 5th June off too! (on full pay! I'm so chuffed with myself - can you tell!!)

Not working but camping in a bus at a transport festival in Llandudno. Bit wet and cold today but yesterday was wall to wall sunshine.

I had 1 parent who decided that paying an extra £12 was more important than spending time with her daughter- she wanted to book it as holiday but as it was only 2 weeks notice instead of the contracted 4 weeks notice it would still be charged at full rate (I normally would of made a one off exception but she's already had a few of them and still whines so wasn't going to do it again) So as it meant she was paying £24odd instead of £12odd she decided getting her monies worth was more important than the family time she's always moaning they don't get enough of, go figure!

Nope!!! I only have 1 parent that would need me on a BH and tbh she would send lo even if she wasn't working so I just don't work them (don't charge either)!

No children here. But as weather appalling and I am still feeling rough (thanks to the LO's!), I am updating the LO's LJs and doing some planning.
