Right so as some of you know im now finally childminding and have become pretty full... however i wanted to know a strange question. In the near future were going to start trying for a baby.... however how much time does everyone take off for Mat leave? because obviously you dont want to take too long and loose your mindees?

    Thank you in advance!

With Charley I worked up until the day after she was due, I knew she'd be late.
I did have 6 months off though afterwards as we moved house when she was 5 weeks old.

With Mitchell I had him on the Thursday and was back minding on the Monday.
I felt fine and well enough to mind again, I do recover quickly from giving birth even c-sections. I did only have one part timer though, had it been more I may have had more time off.

Everyone is different so only you can decide how much time to take off with the baby.

    Good luck
