Before school

Could anyone advise what you would charge for before school twice a week from 7 am.

Hi, it really depends where you are, for 8.00am -9.00am round here ( St Albans) is £10 min, but 7.00am-8.00am is unsocial hours for most people, I would probably say £25 as a compromise
.
As a guide the afterschool club here is £16 for 2 hours and £5 per 5 minutes if you are late!!

I usually charge £3.75 / hour but as they would be using only part of a before school place (2 of 5 possible days) I'd charge £5 /hour, the same as my ad hoc rate. Icharge until 9 no matter if I drop them at 8.30 or 8.55!

It is early too ( I usually start at 7.30), so I'd possibly ask double time for the 7 till 7.30 half hour depending how much I liked the family/needed the money/ thought they could afford it or if it would scare them off/how assertive I was feeling on the day etc

So for me it would either be £10 or £12.50 per morning per child.

Im based in the nottingham area. Im charging £10 for after school care so thought slightly more for before school especially as it could be 7 am start!

I'd go with teh average hourly area rate for 0800-0900 then charge £1 more for the 0700-0800.

Wow this has made me think. I start with some "before school" kids at 7.30 then I work through until 8pm. Maybe I should charge more for the unsocial hours. I just charge my ordinary rate

I charge normal hourly rate for 8 to 9am but double before 8am

I class anything before 8am and after 6pm as unsocial hours - I don't want to work either of those times so I charge a lot more if I have too.

I charge £5 ph from 8am - 6pm but if wanted earlier then it would be £10 ph

My base rate is £6/h, 8am to 5:30.

I charge 1.5x for unsocial, so 7am to 9am would be £10.

Me too!
So that would be 6.00 for 7-8, plus 3.50 for 8-9 per child, so 9.50 per morning.
I only walk to school but if you have to drive you might want to round it up a little bit more.
