    Default Before school charge

I have had an enquiry for a before school place. It would be 1 hour and no breakfast is required. I would have to get up slightly earlier to make sure I was ready, but other than that I can't really see any inconvenience to it.

The thing is though I don't know what to charge. My normal rate is £3 per hour with a minimum of two hours booked, however this is a before school place & unless they came in unsociable hours (which I wouldn't want) they will never be doing a minimum 2 hours iyswim. I'm not sure whether to charge £3, or as it is just for the hour before school to increase my fee to £4.
    What do you all do?

I charge £5 for the first hour. It's not worth getting up & going out for any less than that

I would also charge more than my hourly rate. I had a child before school only who arrived at 7.30am and I charged just an hour. I always had her longer as the teacher never used to open the door to the classroom at 8.30am as she was supposed to which meant I had the child for an extra 10 minutes every day. I found it really used to annoy me as the child was hard work. She would hit and kick the other children and run off. I vowed to charge at least £5 in future. I charged £3 an hour at the time. It isnt worth the trouble otherwise.

I have a boy mornings and term time only and I charge £5 for the session. I agree with the others it's not worth it for any less.

    Best Wishes
