rate for my area

A littlew while ago i was able to google the going rate for my area, now it just says there is no set rate.
im looking to see what others charge as when i started i only charged2.50 and everyone said that was really cheap
i have since put my prices up (which isnt getting moaned about by parents) but want to know what others charge as i dont want to be too expensive
has anyone got an idea of where i can find out?

Look on your cis website as most childminders say what their rates are.

Hello, I know you posted this a few days ago, but I thought I'd still reply.

I'm over in Ottery and I charge £3.50 an hour. I know my sister in Honiton charges the same.

Check out the DISC website as a lot of childminders have their fees listed on there.

I'm only in Taunton, not that far. Was born in Honiton and lived in Ottery twice as a child! Oh, and yes I think you are about right with £3.50.

Haven't been on for a few days Marie, so this is probably a bit late to help you, but I charge £3.00 an hour, but several round here charge £3.50, I was just trying to get some business to start out, might put it up for newcomers, ha, ha! I think Lucy mentioned the Disc site already- Hi Lucy! (Did you and your sister go to the intro meetings in Newton Abbot last year, by any chance?)

Hi, if you type in 'childrens information service' into google, you will be able to type in your postcode and it will give you all of the childminders in your area. Click on each individual childminder and it will give you their rates. I personally charge £3.50 per hour, or, for a full week (Mon-Fri, 8am-6pm) I charge a discounted rate of £150.00.
