I don't work Saturdays but if I did I would charge at least time and a half.

I charge £3.50 p/h normaly and £5 p/h out side of contracted hours and for unsociable contracted hours. Not had this myself but I would probably class weekends as unsocialble contracted hours.

I never expected my childminder to work weekends so to charge time and a half would be fair because it's outside of your normal hours. You wont get alot of childminders giving up weekends. That's just my opinion though.

My normal hourly rate is £3.20 which I state on contracts is between 8.00am and 6.00pm Monday - Friday. Any minding outside of these hours is charged at time and a half - with the exception of bank holidays which are double time if the place is used.

I don't charge any extra for weekends. At the moment I am open from 6 in the morning until 8 at night, 7 days a week. Some of the parents I care for work shifts and are sometimes off wed, thurs, fri, but then need me at the weekends, it means I get days off in the week sometimes too.

I do know some childminders who charge time and a half and also double time for weekends. x

i dont work weekends but would as a one off or very occasionally and it would be double time.

If i was asked to work a regular weekend shift i might even make it more as i dont really want to do it.
