    Default DBS update for childminders

    Hi does anyone know if we have to have a dbs update £13 ?

    Only for those recently registered and taking out their first DBS- it is a new Ofsted requirement.
    When I registered there was no DBS update-service, that is fine, we do not need it for old DBSs.

    Since the 1st September 2014 you have to pay for the update service. if you were registered before this date then no you don't

    DBS update service? I havnt heard of this before but fall into the category of having to pay. What is this?

    Hi,
    There's quite a tight timescale to register in once your DBS comes through, so don't get caught out!!
