Question about paying in advance

From what I have read on the forum paying in advance is the easiest and best way of doing things.
Im guessing if you care for the child any extra hours these get invoiced for the following month?
What if mindee does different hours each week though? Im guessing in a case like this I wouldnt be able to charge advanced payment?

I think I'm the only person ever on this forum to charge in arrears. For me personally it is easier, I wrote hours, cost and done. Any sickness, holiday etc is all done so there's never any confusion over payment.

However I have not been burnt like some of the stories yet!

Why dont you invoice weekly and charge for what is booked but make sure you receive payment on or before the first morning of the week?

I also like Charlotte charge in arrears. I like to be paid for what I have worked, and find it so much easier.


I also have never had my fingers burnt with a non payer. (Until recently all my mindees have been part time so never really huge amounts of money)

I get paid in advance by the week, payment is due in my account on Friday for the following week, and I get paid for hours booked -any extra comes in the following weeks payment. Hth
