Default Have had to let go...

I have had a mindee since June last year and the mum has always been a bit flimsy with payment. I've always had to chase her up for it and would get paid eventually. Just before Christmas she owed me a months money(around £300) and in the end I refused entry to the child till the bill was paid. I didn't charge for the month that he was off becos I knew I'd never get the money. Anyway, new year came and she paid wat was owed and I thought she was sorting herself out.. But today I get a msg saying work(NHS) have fluffed her money up and she's not getting paid tomorrow(my pay day) so can she pay double next week? I'm so fed up of her mucking me around,I said actually no,afraid not. I've got bills and a business to run,so long story short ,today was his last day. I won't get paid for this week but sometimes I think you've got to cut your losses. I've now got a full time vacancy and will insist on money upfront so this doesn't happen again!!!! Just wanted some reassurance that I've done the right thing???

    Default non payment

I am awaiting to hand a bill out tomorrow and payment would be expected on Monday , i also am expecting some excuse as to why she can't pay it in full this has gone on for about a year. Enough is enough and i will also be telling my family no payment no child care .
I think parents seem to think that we don't seem to have any expenditure ourselves .
They wouldn't go to Tesco shopping and ask can we pay next week i'm a little bit short this week .
Enough is enough this soft touch is going to be a mean b****.

Ahh thanx folks. I feel much more reassured. Now to tell my hubby!!!! It's a shame cos I feel bad for them and wanted to help them but like you say I'm not a charity. Now to find a family that know my worth and pay me nicely. #high five y'all xxx
