    Thank you so much Sarah.

I'm also gutted that they won't be printing hard copies. It's more relaxing reading a book than sitting with my laptop on my lap.

Hi, I have been in communication with a number of childminders who have been involved in the trial... plus I read a lot of websites and glean information from various sources to share with other childminders.

Sarah - when the revised EYFS comes out will you be able to indicate to us which bits of your manuals will still be useful and which bits will be irrelevant? Seems such a shame after all your hard work for you to have to revise them!

Aww bless you that's so kind! Thank you for asking.

I will revise everything I have written between the Eyfs coming out and September when it is due to start being used.

I will provide free updates if customers contact me and ask for them. I'm not chasing people!

omg no - I don't blame you for not chasing people - I am sure you are busy enough!!
Providing a free update is very generous of you and at least it won't put people off investing in your manuals between now and September as they will still be relevant.

would this be a crazy suggestion for this forum to raise funds etc, could 'The childminding Forum' get a wholesale print done of the new EYFS, and sell it to members as a hard copy ????

no idea how things work but I would happily pay for a hard copy, as my EYFS book is a well thumbed, well used and well loved article!!

    Sarah you are a brick,
I will try to keep this short and simple but I have just gone through all the training and I am now waiting for my pre inspection (wish they would hurry up) We have just spent 4 evenings on the Early years foundation stage to be told we should not look at the revised version as we will get confused.
We have been told we will get further training before Sept on the revised stuff.
I am feeling a little as I am starting out on the old to be taught the new in a few months, I have already wasted time and research on the old and now feel I will not get to grips with it knowing it is going to change. (Hope that was short enough )

I would just like to say Sarah that after reading your post at the beginning I do not feel so as it still seems the same only in different categories. Thank you so much.
I would be up for buying a hard copy as it has already cost me a fortune to print off the old one.
    This forum is fantastic.

    Thank you ladies (and gents)
