    Default Help please with assessing

    Hi guys

Is there a particular form i need to be using to do an assessment on a child?
Is it the "summative assessment"? Where do i get this from?

Also i keep seeing on here about there being a grid to use that some people have put in their LJ, but where is it? I cant find it in "free resources".

    Thanks for any help

You can use any format that you feel happy with and that the parents/ other priofessionals you work with find easy to read. If that is inside a daily diary or a scrapbook then that is fine.

You need to demonstrate that you can place children on the EYFS. "Summative" is a summing up of progress over a set period (like a 6 weekly report).

If you look in the free resources the grids are under the name EYFS Assessment Sheets. There is one for each of the age groups listed in the EYFS pack and the ages overlap. Hope that helps. Hx
