As promised in another thread, you can find a chart here explaining how the current standards and Every Child Matters framework will look in the EYFS Welfare requirements when they come into force:

That is fantastic! Thanks so much. It'll help to sort policies now, for sure.
Why is "phonics" not spelled the way it sounds?
Thanks that is such a help as our portfolios and policies will all need to be altered now. Much clearer with this chart.

Thanks for that Pauline,
Am I the only one not to have had any briefing or training sessions???
So far Lincolnshire eyds has organised 1 2hr briefing and thats it!!!
Feeling a little unsure of what it all really means to me on an everyday level .
This certainly helps
Having been out of Childminding for a couple of years I am really excited to be returning. But it seems changes have happened again! Is the implementation of EYFS just changing wording and thinking up new jargon for what Childminders have been doing for years? Does any of it actualy make childcare better for the children, parents or childminders?
I am hoping to be on the ICP in the next couple of weeks so it will all probably be made clear to me!
But I must be getting very cynical in my old age as I began to wonder that if perfect policy was implemented the policy makers would be out of a job!
Love Gina x
