    Default EYFS Statutory Framework

Speaking to our co-ordinator recently I asked about section 2.26 of the framework:

    Assessment arrangements - the requirements:
All providers must make arrangements for each child within the final year of the EYFS to be assessed throughout the year by a practitioner. Practitioners must use the 13 scales and have regard to the scale points as set out in Appendix 1 to complete the EYFS Profile as a record of achievement.

She says that we will not be expected to do this. It will be done by the nursery or pre-school. She says the only time we would have to do it would be if we were receiving early years funding and the children did not go to any other early years funded type of care, e.g. Nursery, and were soley cared for by a childminder.

    Hope that helps
