    Default Communicating with local pre-school

I have recently attended an course that all the staff of our local pre-school were attending. Obviously they knew who I was.

Anyway, today one of the staff members called me over for a general chat about the course. Well we got onto talking about the EYFS in general and she mentioned that they would like to start coming out to meet childminders in their settings and visa versa, particularly when new children are due to start at the pre-school who previously attended a childminders.

I was delighted to hear that they are beginning to see the importance of this and welcomed it. I don't expect all childminders would welcome this though.

Wow thats great news!! nothing like that happening round here! sent one of our children's All about Me books into the nursery that they attend 2 days a week, for her key worker to look at and add any notes she wanted to make - book came back no notes in it though!! We keep trying, but they just don't seem to want to play ball!! not sure what more we can do!

    thats good news..
i am involved in a pilot scheme in somerset, about working along other day care providers.....most nursery managers i have talked to have been shocked that we have to deliver the eyfs on our own...most have been supportive and interested in what i do..

I have just put my mindee down to start at the pre-school where I used to work. I have known the lady in charge for almost 20 yrs as I went to school with her daughter too.

I am hoping that this will help our exchanging information relationship.

PS She also got Outstanding in November 08!!!
