    Default legislations - Print out?

    Hi All,

I've just started my training for EYFS and going through everything. Currently looking at Legislation and i'm making a note of them etc and saving links to websites. However do I need to print out all of the legislation to keep as a document if required? I know that they can change or new ones can be bought in but i'm not sure if this is something that i physically need to hand or whether if anyone asks I can load up the documents to show them on my home laptop?

    Thanks in advance x

No there's no requirement to print everything out.

Maybe print the first page and put it in a file with a link to where it is saved on your computer.

I have printed the main ones like EYFS, Development Matters and Early Years Outcomes.

I would agree with Rick on his list of documents. Many of the documents are highly coloured, so use a lot of ink when printed. For these three, i have purchased a printed and bound copy from an action website, I think they were less than a tenner. The paper is much better quality than I usually use at home, and the print quality is great, again tons better than I would do. It was also spiral bound with a clear laminate cover. I personally think it was good value as I hate to think of how much ink it would have used at home to print these three documents out so nicely.

Don't forget that if you are printing them yourself or purchasing, the costs involved can go into you accounts.

SOME LSCBs advise their cms to print the front page of safeguarding documents to show they are aware of them... but that's a local requirement not national.

Otherwise apart from the Eyfs no I don't print anything

    Ok - thank you!

I've got links to all of the legislation's so at least i've got something should they ask - i didn't think i needed to print them out considering how many pages most of them have!
