Hi All. I've looked after a 2 year old since January 2 days a week and the other 3 days she had another childminder. This childminder is giving up childminding and I've been asked to have the little girl 3 days a week but on different days to what I had her because for 2 days she will be going to a pre school and the only full days they do are wednesday and Thursday which means they would need me monday Tuesday and Fridays. The problem I face is on Monday and Tuesday I have 3 in the early years already so because it's contunity of care would I be allowed the 4 in early years or would I have to say sorry but you will have to find another childmider.

If it works for you practically , and youre happy you can convince an inspector that the quality of care for each child isn't compromised , then I would say yes.

Thank you. The girl who wants the different days is so advanced even though she has just turned 2 so her being there wouldn't effect the care of the other children as she is so independent. I sometimes have to remember she has only just turned 2.
