Re we no longer allowed to increase numbers for an existing child? Eg if a child I have wants to increase their days and it takes me over?

As far as I know we can still do it.

I've got a feeling the Ofsted fact sheet (ages & numbers of children) has disappeared form their website, so I wonder if they're going to bring out an updated one soon. IN the meantime everything is the same as before.

Yes we can still do it ...

an Ofsted inspector told someone today that they couldn't and we gave her the wording to lodge a complaint which she has put in immediately ... she is right and the inspector is wrong and I am sure it will be sorted next week x

Mouse...that factsheet has indeed been removed or....at least it is not there to be easily found

If inspectors are telling cms that the ratio variation cannot be done CMs need to approach OFSTED headquarters and report this...even better write to your Ofsted Area or even Nick Hudson alothough the best people to address this are those at the DfE

An individual inspector cannot change the EYFS and ....as the Ofsted panel said at OBC ...maybe inspectors need better training
