    Default sibling ratio question

Hi I dont come in here much but always get great advice when I do.

I currently care for 3 under fives (2,3 and 4), two of which will have siblings in January and March 2015. They will need care from September when the older siblings will be going to reception and pre-school.

My question is can I care for the babies, as they will both be under one and the 2 year old who will nearly be three. As well as doing morning and after school for the pre-school (8am-9am and 3pm-5pm).

    Thanks.

I would have thought it comes under continuity of care, risk assess how you will manage 2 under 1 during the day, how you will manage on the school run with all of them and when all of them are together at home. You will have to inform the parents what you are taking on and how you will manage.

As QC said it is continuity of care..so YES

Just bear in mind that ...eventually the child in Reception will be classed as an over 5 when he/she attends full time?
Variations are for children 0-5 only

    Good luck with your RA

    Thanks for your replies.

I was wondering if the 3 yr old didnt attend whilst mun was on maternity, then would it still be continuity of care. what if they both came back when mum goes ti work.

I have been told recently that if the older child leaves whilst mum is on maternity you are unable to go over numbers for children that have re-registered as it is not continued care.
