    Default new mindee- baby

Hi Everyone , have a friends little baby starting with me in a months time, iv not done the eyfs before and worried i am going to get it wrong. Iv got the eyfs booklet and printed off some tracker sheets from the free resources bit at the top of the page. Iv bought a daily diary where i can write what we have done that day . Having friend coming around this week and getting her to fill out an all about me sheet and the look at the tracker sheet and go through with her what the baby can do , marking on the tracker that it's a parent obsevation , can i call this the starting points or do i need to observe them ? Having some settling in sessions where im just going to put some toys out for baby do get use to the environment does this sound ok ? thanks xx

    Hi

    How old is the baby?

    Sounds like a good plan

Daily diary is good for parents to add comments to.

At the settling in you can observe the child and see where child is. I also do this for a few weeks (depends how many days a week i have child), can then be child starting points and work out a plan of next steps.

Ask parents what vhild can do and use all about me form.

    Good luck.
