    Default 2.5 year old starting....

He will only be with me for 2.5 hours every week temp, would I need to do all the paperwork? eg contract, child records, policies, permissions, all about me and also do I need to do a learning journey for that? Tia

You still have to show you are doing stuff, a very small LJ or scrapbook, if he is at another setting I would get hold of their planning and just show how you are supporting it at yours, eg they are doing about butterflies - you read the very hungry caterpillar.....etc

Definitely need contract, permissions, all about me, etc. Necessary for insurance and making sure that you can help the child settle with you. If you have the child for 2.5 hours one day a week then you will need to do an LJ - nothing complicated. If he is with you less than 2 hours a day, then you don't. However, I would say that it is good practice to do something, even if it is just comments about his development in the daily diary.
