    My own little girl was 5 in January and in full time school, I have 1 under 5 currently but a possible 2 more under 5's starting, is this allowed?? Tia xx

    Yes this is fine. Your own little girl will be in the 5-8 category as she is in full time school so with your 1 current mindee you are allowed 2 more.

    Thank you for your reply! Someone has said to me that a child is classed as early years until the September following their 5th birthday, has anyone else heard this? If this is the case then I can only have 2 more?? X

    It is true, officially that a child is still classed as being in the EYFS until the 31st Aug following their 5th birthday so when a child is in Reception year at school the school will comply with the EYFS and do the neccs paperwork etc. However for childminders as soon as a child goes to Full Time school, even if they are still 4, they move out of our EY's numbers and move to our under 8's. You will be fine to take on another 2 EY's children, don't worry.
