early support statements

Hi i recently came across a useful document on another forum, it basically broke the early outcome statements down into more manageable chunks for children that needed early support. theres was a column with early outcomes, a column with early support statement, and a column with possible next steps. I could only find this document for the three prime areas though and was wondering if anyone had ever come across a document like this for the specific areas too. Thanks

Oooh that's great, thanks for the link. I have an early years child now and he is autistic. I sat down with his mum trying to work out what his entry levels are and it was so hard and really quite difficult for the mum to see how delayed he is as he's a good while time-wise behind what he "ought" to be.

Would it be ok to use one of these instead of the normal EY tools as I don't want umpteen files full of paperwork?

It sounds like you are supporting the parent as well as you can
It would be good if mum would also get some advice from the Health Visitor so that you have professional guidance on where the child is at, what you can provide
You say he is autistic...has this been diagnosed? if so linking to another professional will be very effective for you and parents alike
