    Default Ball activities?

    Can you please help?!

My 3 year old mindee is into nothing else but football!! I think it is driving his mum mad! Today after toddler group we did water play and made figures out of clay, but he wasn't interested.

Apart from kicking balls, throwing and bouncing them etc, can you think of anything else? We have done marble painting before and all I can think of is trying this again with slightly larger balls?

    Thanks Xxx

Make some animal skittles out of small bottles, weighted down with sand. Decorate and then give him the balls to knock them over with.

Juggling? Different weight balls for floating and sinking, ball fishing, bowl with small balls in and a fish tank fishing net, blow football (straws and ping pong ball) swing ball, ball treasure hunt (find a red coloured ball etc so looking at colours, could do sizes, shapes -rugby ball, counting groups of so three red and two blue)

Visit your local carpet shop and get some cardboard inner tubes for rolling balls through/down. My children love this game.

I used to mind a little boy who was football/ball mad, i agree with rolling balls down tubes/guttering etc and skittles, he loved doing these.

Would it work to try and incorporate other tools with the balls? Eg use cars to push the balls along, try and lift the balls with different sized spoons?

Make goals out of carboard boxes for him to roll the balls into, mark targets on the floor with masking tape and try to roll the balls on the target.
