    Default Confused!

    Hi everyone,

I have a 4 year old starting soon for 1 hour in the morning 3x a week and 2.5 hours after school once a week. He is in reception full time.

So my question is do i need to do a learning journal for him, or can i just do a scrap book of activities we have done without linking it to the EYFS?

Also do i need to do a liason with other settings form and rda for him?

Sorry if this seems like a stupid question, but im so confused

    Thanks everyone

Once a child is in full time 10 sessions a week school (not settling in) we no longer have to deliver the full EYFS.

We must speak to parents and the other setting to find out how they want us to complement the child's care, learning and development while with us.

I recommend you note their wishes somewhere in your paperwork and then ensure the resources, equipment, games, toys, activities etc you plan for the child are appropriate for his needs.

You do not have to write a LJ or other paperwork for the child's learning and development unless requested by parents.

I give older children the opportunity to make a scrap book - some do and some don't!
