welsh foundation phase

evening all.
as a childminder in wales, do we have to do the foundation phase etc. I've read a lot of ppl on here talking about learning journals etc to do with the english foundation stage. what is needed to be done in wales? thanks

it says in the new minimum standards that we need 'an understanding' of it. if you have the new standards check page 9

It is not a legal requirement for childminders in Wales to follow the Foundation Phase unless they are on a Network and providing the Free provision. However it isin the standards and good practice to bring it into your planning. Very easy to do
