Visiting with Mindees

Are you allowed to visit family and friends when you are looking after mindees? My friend said she is sure that when we had our pre reg meeting the other week it was mentioned you can only do this if the person you are visiting (or they visit you) has a CRB check or has she got this wrong?

If we took them to play group or soft ball area the likely hood of all parents there having CRB checks is very slim so I was wondering what the rule is.

Hi,as far as i understand it as long as you dont leave mindee with anyone else you are fine to visit friends and family as you are the person looking after them.x

I visit another CM, my parents and my sister. I just don't leave the children out of my sight.

was told by my CSSIW Inspector that you can do things with your mindees as long as it benefits them, but if you HAD to do something that wasnt it was not to do it very often...i.e visiting your parents etc is nto of benefit to them so couldn;t do it often...

i visit my parents weekly with the minded children and I feel it is of great benefit to them, they get to meet with people from different generations and all bar none look forward to the weekly visits, they have toys/art materials there for them and they also get to learn about extended family. All my parents know this and love it.

One of my parents loves it when we visit my parents or they come to visit us as her LO has no contact with her own grandparents except by post & phone calls. She loves the idea of her meeting different people & loves it that she has picked up calling them Grandma and Grandad from my children!

When there we pond dip, pick fruit and veg, grow things, paint and play games that need loads of room in their field.

I, myself think the same, mayb e my inspector means shopping trips or long journeys that are only benefiting us etc....i have taken mine once or twice but as my paretns live about 30 miles etc away its more trouble than it's worth, although they do come to see me...

I just think it's my inspector as she is a stickler to rules etc...even hated me having a dog
