Consultation - Childminding and Daycare regs Wales

Anyone else got and e-mail about a consultations until sept 6 about changes to be brought in April 2011 in Wales? Came to me from D-CELLS. Just trying to wok through it now as it has 8 attachments. So not sure what changes yet. Wish they would summerise for me.

so far I have found that WAG are proposing changing laws to allow them to change regs when they want.

To increase CSSIW powers

They are proposing in the future to change the law to allow them to introduce fixed penalty notices "to strengthen enforcement"

Proposing to do away with the need to check whether planning is req before registering.

Adding this to the exemptions to childminding :- 6. A person does not act as a child minder where the person only begins to look after the child in the period between 6pm on any one day and finishes looking after the child by 2am the following day.

I have it but only had a skim so far. I will have a proper look later. half of the attachments are the Welsh version so not as bad as you first think
