Firstly well done on getting so many enquiries

You need to start by speaking to your local CSSIW office. Taking on an assistant doesn't necessarily mean you will be allowed more children. Both myself and my husband are fully registered childminders but we are still only allowed 6 under 8 when working together. Depending on your LA you may need planning permission to have more than 6 children and space also has to be taken into consideration. I suggest giving them a call and they will advise on your specific situation.
