Frog Spawn

Hi all

We are very excited today because my hubby brought some frog spawn from work for us I have it in a clear tub with some weed and a large stone in.

I am going with the theme of life cycles but I was wondering if you had any other ideas for activities/books that would link in? Is there anything you have done in the past that everyone enjoyed?

My mindees age range is 12mths to 4 years.

Ideas anyone please?

I have just purchased a insect lore butterfly garden, were you buy caterpillar eggs and watch them turn into butterflys. My cousins have always done this in school and love it. I also bought from insect lore a ladybug world and again you can buy ladybird eggs and watch them turn into ladybirds.

Also as its easter I bought some craft eggs and little yellow chicks and the kids have each decorated a egg which is in our home made nest, and close to easter I am going to exchange the eggs for the chicks. We have watched you tube clips in how chi is hatch and all of my three little ones under 3 now know that eggs come from chicken bum bums!
