gosh you are good buying them chocolates. We just do a card and a craft

Not sure what we are doing this year for mothers day- in previous years we've done tulip hand print flowers on canvas, tissue paper flowers, teapot cards with a bag inside, planted bulbs and decorated plant pots.

I think you stick/staple a tea bag inside the card as a kind of jokey card in the shape of a teapot?!

    Decorated hard boiled eggs.

    Hard boil an egg

Put small shaped stickers on your egg
    Or
Wrap rubber bands around your egg
    Or
Draw on your egg with a wax crayon

Get a half full glass of water
Put 3-4 teaspoons of food colouring in the water
Put your egg in the glass using a spoon
    Leave for 10mins
Lift the egg out using a spoon and dry with a paper towel

If you want a multi coloured egg, dye a light colour before decorating and a darker colour after.

Raw eggs work but are much more delicate.

If you were to give these to parents you could do 6 for each and decorate an egg box each? Or make a nest?

Chocolate crispy nests using shredded wheat instead of rice crispies, topped with mini eggs and those little fluffy chicks.

For Easter we'll be decorating eggs then going egg rolling in the park (weather permitting obviously)

I also picked up some easter egg moulds (mini and big) in the £1 shop so we'll spend an afternoon making some chocolate eggs for the LO's to take home

For Mother's Day we are making the Mum's a nice card with the LO's handprints and a nice poem
