    Default INTERNATIONAL MUD DAY TODAY

So who is going to be getting muddy then?

I asked my parents about this and was told they do not want their kids getting muddy at all

    Would your parents allow it?

Yes mine would let me, trouble is there isn't any mud because it has been dry here most of the week. We have had a few very light showers.

Even with old clothing mine are set against it

Strange how some parents hate it and others don't care, not a thought for if their children would enjoy it

We have no mud either I wanted to test parents reaction though

ooo didn't know about this but now I do, I might just get on with it, the kids love digging in the garden anyway so I doubt the parents will notice the difference if I actually encourage them to do it.
Got 4 boys today too so they'll love it.

After all the rain yesterday we've got a lovely big mud puddle at the bottom of the garden.

My parents wouldn't have a problem with the children playing in it, but then I do keep a good supply of wellies and waterproof suits here. I don't think they'd be happy if the children's normal clothes got that dirty.

It's my day off though, so no children here anyway

Think adults would find it more fun. Now I would love to try 'Bog Snorkling' but think it will be too cold...brrr!

Blimey we had torrential rain in Shropshire yesterday. We put grass seed down last weekend and one half of the garden is just bare at the moment, well that is at least until before the rain washed it all over my patio...Plenty of mud here! Mindees all asleep at the mo tho'.

My parents know from day 1 that the kids will get mucky! we spend lots of time in the forest and although we wear appropriate clothing there is always a soggy sleeve or muddy trouser bottom as evidence of a fun day!

when my eldest DS was about 6 or 7, we both remember one weekend it was chucking it down! He said (jokily I think) "let's go to the park". "OK" I said, and off we went. Well, we'd never had so much FUN, it was brilliant! No-one else around so we had the place to ourselves, played football, launching ourselves at the ball when in goal, sliding down the slide into a great big muddy puddle and just having alot of messy, muddy fun and games. We were covered head to toe in the stuff - god knows what people must've thought who passed in their cars.

But, like I say, it's a time that has stuck fast in our memories and we still talk about it today

Dirt washes off, memories last forever

    Hels xx
