ideas for a 9 month old

Hi!! i am currently looking after a 9 month old boy and have two of my own children 2 and 3 years old! i just need some really good activity ideas that i can get all 3 of them involved in. the little boy is really sensetive and doesnt like getting messy or too much noise. thankyou xxx

Have a look in your Practice Guidance for his age group under the Planning and Resourcing section, should give you some ideas there.

My son at that age loved looking in mirrors. Bubbles are always good for any age. Maybe build them upto getting used to noise with softer things like crinkly paper that they can scrunch in their hands.

My baby is almost 9 months and she loves touchy feely books and ones with sounds.

She loves action songs and me holding her as I dance round the room!

Looking in mirror has her in stitches!

Playing be-bo (nearly put hide and seek!) Ha ha!

She likes stacking cups - can play with them for ages!

She loves bubbles.

She likes splashing her hands and feet in a bowl of water.

Can't think of anymore off the top of my head - it's very late for me!

There is a childminding resource bag on ebay that includes space blankets and other touchy feely things. Looks fab for ideas!
