    Default Easter egg hunt

I am trying to organise an easter egg hunt for 6 children on wed aged 1,3,7,9,10,10. I am not sure how to make it fair for everyone as I know the older ones will just go crazy and find every egg in 10 seconds flat without any consideration for the little ones.

I have plastic easter eggs with mini chocolate rabbits to go inside them or mini easter eggs.

    Any suggestions please?

For my own children I'd give them a list of things they have to find & they're only allowed to collect the number they're told. That stopped the older ones grabbing everything & leaving nothing for the little ones!

    I might put:

    2 mini chocolate rabbits
    1 creme egg
    3 mini wrapped eggs
    2 plastic eggs

    etc etc.

Also, leave the lists for the older ones at a set point (eg. by the back door if they're outside). Each time they find something they have to come back to the list to tick it off. It makes it last a bit longer as they're having to run backwards & forwards!

I do the same and give them a shopping list as such but also give the little ones a head start

Ours do a trail of clues, leading to the eggs at the end of the trail. Each child has their own basket of eggs etc. at the end, so no worries over the share-out. The clues are either pictures or written clues, according to age/ability, printed on egg/chick/lamb/bunny-shaped cards. They are placed around the house and garden, and each clue leads them to the next clue until they reach their chocolatey goal.

My plastic eggs are coloured and there are 2of each colour so they all get two eggs each to find, with the little ones I hold a card with the colour on so they match the right colour egg
