    Question Tomato soup

    Does anyone have a basic recipe for a tasty tomato soup please?

    yes i certianly do. my children love it.

    1 large onion
    2-3 stalks of celery
    2-3 carrots
    chop up pop on pan medium heat with a dash of oil - for about 5-8 mins

    add 2 pints of stock ( i find chicken the best)
    along with 1 tin of tomatoes and 4 whole tomoaotes.

    bring to boil, and simmer for 20- 30 minutes (till all veg is soft)

    wizz up and yum yum.
    Weightloss -2lbs (14lb to go)

    Doesn't the celery leave stringy bits in the soup?

    Sounds yummy but why do you need a tin of tomatoes AND 4 whole ones?

    Might give it a try, mindees are into soup and sandwiches atm

    'garlic, two onions, four carrots, a green and red pepper, veg stock, two tins of chopped tomatoes, basil and paprika then blend (if you want to).'

    I got this recipe from another forum, it is gorgeous. I use passata rather than tinned tomatoes.
