    Default reindeer dust

don't know if this is listed anywhere ...

we have just made reindeer dust for christmas! i usually make it much closer to christmas, but most of mine finish today or tomorrow!

in a bowl mix a large spoonful of oats and a small spoonful of glitter!

then put in a bag/jar/tub with a label saying ' sprinkle on the ground on christmas eve, the reindeer will smell the oats and the glitter will twinkle in the moonlight, guiding father christmas to your house '

one year i made it as gifts for the children, and since then we make a big batch every year, and have fun spooning it into jars to take home!

    have fun

Thank you for this idea. I have bought it in the past for my own children but this is so much more fun. Although my nearly 2yr old mindee was not very impressed she wanted to eat the oats and has had a tantrum over it, lol!

We made this with the children at our Christmas party on Friday and put it in a little gift bag for them to take home. We added rice crispies to the oats and used blue sugar for the 'sparkle'.

I had never heard about reindeer dust before. I Sounds really poetic and fun for a messy christmas

I give you here an activity i do with kids about reindeer :

you can do it with finger paint, deux hand prints for the ears and one footprint for the face .
