Read some feedback from Nursery World too about the London meeting which they attended and future plans
    in their article:
The Early Years sector tells Ofsted: This is what we want.

It's all saying the same isn't it? We want consistency and fairness...

I am not convinced Ofsted are listening though after reading their comments in Nursery World

Do you mean this wishy washy statement by someone in Ofsted but not HMCI or the Director herself? I have read that standard reply before...so we are back being fobbed off
''In response to the Ofsted Big Conversation weekend, an Ofsted spokesperson said, 'We make no apology for wanting the best for young children, particularly those from poorer backgrounds.''

Stating the obvious there I feel as providers have stated they accept 'tougher' inspections...but not this regime of fear and, unfortunately, mistrust.
There are so many inadequate providers being bypassed to inspect those with complaints back 10 years??

We must keep faith and not give up

Is 'requires improvement' going to be in addition to the current gradings or replace 'satisfactory'?

From Nov 2013 satisfactory becomes requires improvement for providers but not cms because Ofsted are awaiting a decision on how to inspect agencies...that was the message recently..if it has changed I don't know.
Beats me what the criteria behind that is and why should independent cms be waiting for a decision on agencies?

You can find this in Ofsted publication 'Good EY provision for all.
