Default latest agency recruitment email from @homechildcare

Thought Id share the latest email -
Come to our Childminders’ Information Event to hear about CHOICES available to you!

Find out about the OPPORTUNITIES and FUNDING available to help you

develop yourself and your childminding business

We still have some places available at our Childminders Choices Information event on Wednesday 3rd July at 6pm.

At the event, we will provide information about our support services particularly the quality development we will be offering to help childminders access training and support. We'll also explain some of the exciting opportunities available to childminders interested in enhancing and developing their practice, professional identity and career options.

The good news is that funding is available to some childminders so it is definitely worthwhile coming to hear about the options available to you.

Come to the Choices event to find out more from:

    · Childminders currently using our support services

    · The Department of Education who will answer questions about agencies

    · Morton Michel, the childcare insurance specialists

    · Our trainers and tutors to find out about our CPD training

So they are suggesting that instead of agencies actually costing us money , they will help us get funding to develop. I can see why she might get some interest from those who don't know better. Not a word about costs to us of course. And intrigued as to how she thinks minders can manage a 6pm meeting dozens of miles away.

    Are you going Mama2three?

It does sound like an attractive offer with the funding being dangled. nothing about how much it will cost though

No , cant do 6pm - still working then!
Would go just to see what spin she was putting on it though - and to ask some deeper questions than she is probably expecting. Happy to pass on the email address if anyone can do 6pm and wants to feedback to us!

I wonder if this is the funding that's available for new childminders. You don't need an agency to sort that out for you! I'd be very surprised if there was any funding they could offer existing childminders.

I really hope someone from the forum can attend the meeting and report back to us

@Homechildcare...they are part of the Task and Finish Group and I thought the ones interested in agencies?

It does not say where the event is but they are up North I believe...if anyone does make it feedback would be great.
what is the DfE going to explain about agencies?
sad they won't engage with independent cms but have the time to attend those meetings?
