    Received an email from hm revenue and customs saying I was entitled to £258 tax refund and to click here.

    Looks genuine but obviously didn't click the link. It managed to get to my inbox not spam hmmmm lol

    I know I am tempted by those too.... Sometimes they seem so believable. I know you have to never give your bank details to them. It enrages me when I see it's a scam and can't get them caught .... They are bare faced robbers ! I get one for paypal constantly and it always scares me saying they have suspended my debit card cos of unusual activity and to tap in my numbers again..... Bull ****. !!

    Yes they are spam - they are quite common unfortunately.

    HMRC will not email you. They will write.
