Is national insurance an "expense"?

    Default Is national insurance an "expense"?

    The national insurance contributions (Class 2, I think is the proper name) that I pay £31.20/quarter for....are they an expense that I can put into my accounts book?

    Might have to get the Tipex out as I have put them in my book all year and now I'm thinking maybe I houldn't have!

    Nope, unfortunately not, they aren't an expense that you can claim.

    Don't tippex anything if you can as it looks "dodgy". Just put a line through it OR put a total debit in once in the final month to reverse it
