Default Can we claim for washing?

I've never claimed for washing powder/fabric conditioner before but I now have a baby who is quite sicky and I often end up having to change 2/3 times a day and am therefore washing more often than I used too and using more washing stuff because of it.

So can I put washing powder through the books too?

yes i think so, i always put £15 a month down in my account book for toiletries, that includes wipes, dettox, loo roll, washing powder (use loads of sheets!) i worked it out once that it would cost around that amount a month so now just put it down as a set amount.

Oh I didn't know you could do that - think I might be needing to add stuff to my accounts. I buy cleaning stuff, washing stuff and toilet paper that I keep in a separate box for childminding so I guess it makes sense I can claim it. Thanks for that x

I claim for washing powder, toilet cleaner, anti bac hand and surface cleaner, window cleaner (for the playroom), floor cleaner, cloths, light bulbs for the playroom. It all mounts up and it is a business expense after all. Oh and toilet rolls and tissues.

I was told on my ICP many, many years ago to claim for washing. As you have extra stuff to wash. I also put through cleaning stuff, toilet rolls, nappy sacks, wipes, anti-bac, floor cleaner etc etc
