    Hi there

Can anyone share some light on how to record (in cash basis accounting), mortgage repayment and deposit made to get the mortgage.

    Thanks

We don't enter mortgage payments in our accounts.

I do remember once reading that you could work out percentage of mortgage for the rooms you used for minding and the percentage of time you used them ( ie ... 10 hrs a day, 3 days a week, not 3 whole days ) and claim for that, but I have never done it.
But definitely can't put deposit through accounts!
I would speak to a tax advisor. There used to be someone on the forum who was brilliant with tax queries, but I can't remember who.
