Default Expenses CPD Level 3 EYE

Hi im studying towards the level 3 early years educator qualification. I'm only studying for this to improve my sevice as a childminder. I am also studying for my GCSE English as I never received the C grade when I was at a school and it is a exit requirement of the level 3.
I presume im ok to put through this as an expense but I received an adult learner loan for the level 3. Can I still put it through as im liable for paying it back?
    Thanks

Thanks Sarah, sorry it took so long to get back to thank you. A last minute holiday.
Not what I was hoping to read but better to be informed so thank you.
Seems very unfair that if I was working in a nursery they would probably fund my level 3 but because i'm self employed I cant even put it through for tax reduction.
As ever I really appreciate the effort you put in to answering my queries.
    Amy
