does anyone use this? I am taking out my insurance with them and already have their contracts, but not sure if there acounts book is any good. I know a lot of childminders use the NCMA one. Would anyone recommend the MM accounts book?

I use the MM account sheets and I find them really easy to use. Everything is split between income and expenditure and totals carried forward to the next sheet, so at the end of the year, you should have the figures you need for that part of your tax return already done.
I don't have any experience with the NCMA once so cannot offer you a comparison between the two.
Hope that helps

Ncma account books are good too imo but am gonna move to mm next renewal so will watch this thread. Ncma attendance books are not working for me and have just switched to attendance record sheets given by my do.

Thanks for the replies, ladies, I love this site, you are all so helpful. I am so excited that i may be minding by next week
I started off using NCMA account book but then changed to Morten Michel 2 years ago when I bought MM insurance. I prefer the MM account book to NCMA (I also prefer MM attendence register too).
I use my own spread sheets on excel for my accounts!! works well for me and with formulas will add up for you too !!
I am no good with excell, I need something simple, that i cannot mess up lol
I use and like the MM sheets . Easy to use and straight forward .
I have used both and prefer MM, found it much easier to add up expenses with MM
MM has an income sheet and a expense sheet which is basically just a blank sheet where you list all your expenses and add them up at the bottom of the page and same with income - you could do this on lined bit of paper. The useful bit is the year end financial calculations bit as it lists some of the things you should include - like water rates, council tax, electric etc and tells you the percentage you should be using to calculate your costs.
Very useful.
