  1. The park

    Yesterday we went to the local big park. I took A (2) and G (2.5). The weather was wonderful, cold but dry and sunny and with all the running round we did we kept nice and warm. G took his wooden sword and his main theme was "killing dragons". Well those pesky dragons were real pains....every time we went round a corner they had already run off. So we never caught up with them.

    A (non verbal ?SEN) ran round like a headless chicken but i managed to keep his concentration for ...

  2. When it's wet in the garden

    This week the children have been a little unsettled - I think the weather does it to them sometimes! We love going outside and mostly they are really happy to potter around the garden but this week it has been very wet and the grass was a bit slippy which led to a couple of small tumbles.

    So, we have been bringing the outside into the house! We put down a big towel and covered it with leaves (all different colours, sizes and shapes) for the children to explore - some of the children ...

  3. Blog virgin

    My first ever blog! My teenage son will be well proud of me. Well, I am now 5 days into a stinking cold but I have survived the working week - just!

    My LOs yesterday decided that I need to have a Christmas party - I do wonder sometimes who is in charge here!

    So Christmas party it is! Better get planning.......

  4. My day so far

    Just sat having a bit of lunch whilst 5 LO's are all asleep. Had a great day at the soft play area this morning, used up loads of energy.

    Off to pickup 6 from school this afternoon so just enjoying the peace whilst it lasts.

    Gonna go first little one is stirring.

  5. last nights training session- working with parents

    It was actually very good.

    I know i sound surprised but the quality of training for my network is usually quite poor.

    Last night was about working with parents...this as you know is the big "thing" with the new EYFS.

    We started with remembering what i felt like when we were new parents ourselves and how we felt when (if we did) we had to go back to work.

    I could really connect with this as i had dd1 when i was 19 and started my training ...
