I have very reluctantly done my SEF!

i was determined not to do the stupid form but gave in in the end

BUT should i actually submit it or not?

my inspection was due in the January just gone but they are very behind in my area with them but we have recently been told that they are doing a big catch up.

I know the ofsted can't actually see it till its submitted, but can we still edit it once its submitted?

Yes submit it as you can access it and update it as and when you need to.

I wouldn't worry about it, my inspection was due early November, and I have a few friends who were due before me and we still haven't heard anything from OFsted. Rumour is that ofsted are catching up on all the new minders and ones that haven't been inspected under the EYFS (which came out in Sept 2008) - so us, that are due and have had our EYFS inspection, won't have one til after the new EYFS starts in Sept 2012. So you could be waiting a long time yet!

I have never submitted mine. I filled it out by hand and the inspector read it while she was here. It kept her nice and busy :)

I would get it uploaded... it will be one less job to worry about for a while!

Well done for finishing it! :clapping:
