WOOOHHHOOOOO 1st phone call!

Just this minute had my very 1st phone call!!! woohooo :clapping:

Not been on for a while, I have been feeling a little down (usual day to day worries) and this has just cheered me up so much! She got my number from netmums. Unfortunately I didn't say much on the phone :blush: :mad: I was just shocked and totally not expecting it! She needs weekend care - I didn't even ask about the child :blush: !!!!!!! I just said yes yes yes lol!

Mum is popping in for a chat tomorrow at 5 :eek: best get my professional head on!

Any tips for this silly dipstick? :laughing:

Nice to see you here with some good news

Just be yourself dont panic and write a list of things that you need to ask so you are well prepared tomorrow
Likes and dislikes of the child - any allergy
Hours - your fees
Show her your folder with policies etc etc etc etc
Show her around your home
Chat to the child - sit on the floor if it is a young child and interact the parent will expect and want to see you do this

The list goes on I am sure you will be ok

It seems that net mums is a good place to advertise - I had one of my first enquiries from that site.

Like Angel says - a list written up before they arrive is a good way of maing sure you ask all the right questions.

Thank you everyone! Will take all the advice given on board and try my hardest to keep it cool and actually talk :) :panic:

Have a thousand and one things to do today, got mindee arriving shortly then take him to pre-school, go trafford centre find a present for a friends 30th, come home tidy up, appointment with the mum at 5, then I need to get ready and go to friends 30th party at 7:30pm :panic: I hope I fit it all in!

If I get chance I will let you know how the meeting goes later, if not I will update you all tomorrow.
