If potential parents looking for childcare came to visit you, would you ever know a child was on an at risk register - if you see what I mean.

after my safeguarding course this week, I have changed my new starter forms to say "does your child have a CAF/ever had a CAF". I know that wouldn't tell me if that child had CPO but there would be a lead professional that I could contact to find out more about the child and to be included in that CAF.

If they were not coming to you through an agency such as social services and were approaching you directly, I guess you wouldnt know really. But I'm guessing if they did have a CPO the social worker involved would want to contact you in due course to get a report on the child's progress.
