Most people seem to charge half fees.

My paperwork says half fees, but I tend to charge a quarter.

Dont use retainers often, prefer to have a none refundable deposit.

I have a parent paying a retainer for when she goes back to work after maternity leave in sept she 's paying 1/2 her normal weekly fee (l had her first child) and she knows this is non refundable should she decide not to return to work.

I charge a 2 week non refundable deposit which is then deducted off first months fees.

If you are going to charge a retainer then yes I would do it for the 3 months.
